What is Cognitive Stimulation Therapy?
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) is a compassionate, research-backed service dedicated to supporting mental agility and social engagement. At Armstrong Healthcare and Wellness, our sessions provide a warm clinical framework where individuals can feel empowered. Importantly, current evidence suggests CST can be as effective as available medication treatments for cognitive symptoms; while not a cure, it thrives best as a vital component of a broader, personalized care plan.
The program consists of fourteen sessions, typically delivered twice per week, with an option for ongoing maintenance afterward. Currently, CST sessions are offered virtually for individuals, and we are opening a waitlist for local in-person group sessions. Depending on your coverage, sessions may be reimbursed through private insurance as a psychotherapy service. We remain dedicated to serving individuals with mild to moderate cognitive impairment and children with developmental delays, focusing on hope and dignity.
